Getting help

  • The first step is to get some accurate information on alcohol and drugs and the harms they can cause to your health.
  • They can also affect your life and relationships, often in ways you may not realise at first but others do, your education, family and friends can all be affected.
  • The good news is that we can help and we'll stick with you even if it gets tough.
  • The healthiest lifestyle is one free of drugs and alcohol but if you are having problems with them look at our information then get in touch to see how we can help. The main goal is always to stop but we know this may not be easy so we'll work with you to find the best way for you.
  • It's better if we can work with your parents and support them at the same time as we do you, but if you are not ready for that at first we have separate workers who can talk to them.
  • We will always talk to you and seek your agreement before sharing information with anyone, including parents, but you also need to know we have responsibilties to protect young people from abuse and harm. We'll talk more about this if we start working with you.

Alcohol and Drugs

  • Find out more about different drugs by looking at our drug and information pages click on th link at the top of the page.

Looking After Yourself

  • Alcohol and drugs change the way we feel and behave, it can feel ok at first but changes can creep up on us without us realising the full effects.
  • If you are feeling negative, down or anxious before using drugs and alcohol can make it  worse. Take a look at our page on how to take care of your emotional and physical health and learn more about it.
